Our Story
Paul Elswick started Paul’s Fan Company in 1958 with a simple mission: fix what others couldn’t. In those early days, he repaired underground mining equipment, trucks, and just about anything that kept operations moving. By the mid-60s, as demand surged for safer mining equipment, Paul designed and built the Mark-IV roof bolting machine—an industry favorite known for its performance and affordability.
As the mining industry evolved, so did we.
When the need for better mine ventilation became clear, Paul’s Fan Company’s focus shifted toward engineering custom fan systems that could meet higher demands for airflow, safety, and uptime. Since that time, Paul’s Fan Company has built and installed more than 5,000 ventilation systems across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
