Preventive Maintenance

The preventive maintenance plans at Paul’s Fan Company help increase the longevity of your industrial fan and the safety of your workers.

Preventive Fan Maintenance

Not implementing a preventive maintenance plan can pose high risks to both the fan and your staff. Some industrial fans are used to remove heat and fumes from buildings while others are used to force air into underground spaces. If these fans stopped working unexpectedly the consequences could be fatal.

At Pauls Fan Company our maintenance schedule is thorough and runs through all of the working and mechanical parts of a fan. Once our inspection is complete you will receive an inspection sheet listing all of the services performed, with a detailed explanation of each. By being proactive in setting up a routine maintenance schedule you can increase the longevity of your fan and ensure the safety of your employees. Don’t wait until it’s too late.

Our preventive maintenance plan includes disassembling the bearing housing to check for wear on bearing rollers and bearing race. The bearing frequency, vibration, temperatures, and alignment are also checked on the motor. A careful inspection of blades is performed to ensure there are no cracks or wear and that they are in balance with the fan hub assembly. We’ll also perform a laser alignment to ensure that the motor is perfectly aligned to the fan itself.

By taking the steps above we can make sure that your industrial fan avoids any major failure in the fan assembly. Each fan has a different time frame for checks, whether those be bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually. If you are unsure of how often your fan should be checked we can help you figure it out.
